Facebook Fanpage URL Keyword Targeting

Have you got your Fanpage URL yet?

Facebook is quite obviously one of the very biggest sites on the internet and is likely to be so for some time to come, but are you taking advantage of their “authority” yet?

Up until recently you needed 25 people to “like” your Facebook Fanpage to be able to choose a “vanity” URL, but it appears that this is no longer the case, so you can grab your first facebook URL as soon as you’ve got your first KEYWORD TARGETED Fanpage set up.

*Note: This is only for your first Fanpage, subsequant fanpages will still need 25 “Likes” to be able to claim a vanity URL [Hint: try Fiverr outsourcing]

A “vanity” URL is where instead of having a bunch of number to represent your fanpage name in the facebook url, you actually have a real “word” or “phrase”, which you can use to target your keywords.

This makes it easier for people to remember your facebook page, but also helps your page to show up in google for your chosen keywords, can you say “Free Traffic”?

obviously many of the best have gone, but with a little digging you can find some “gold nuggets” that are still available…

as an example of just how good these facebook vanity URL’s can be, just last week I grabbed a new one for myself “Start a Home Business” that has 74,000 searches a month!

and here’s a few other examples that I’ve grabbed in the past: -

• Motivational Videos = 74,000 monthly searches
• Blog Marketing = 110,000 monthly searches
• Keywords Tool = 301,000 monthly searches
• The Conspiracy Theory = 450,000 monthly searches

So now that it’s even easier to grab some highly valuable URL’s on Facebook, you just need a simple way to set up a “Pro” looking fanpage to make it all work…
